To celebrate AlphaBirth’s new location in Dun Laoghaire and our shiny new website, we’re giving away a weekend workshop to one lucky couple on a date of their choice.

It’s really simple to enter. Just sign up here to the AlphaBirth mailing list to be in with a chance to win. If you’ve already signed up, you can drop us an email with “enter me in the comp” in the subject line and you’ll be included in the draw. If the winner has already signed up for a workshop, they’ll have the full workshop cost refunded.

Terms and Conditions:

The competition is open to Republic of Ireland residents only. The venue for the workshop is the Royal Marine Hotel in Dublin and is not transferrable to another location. The winner must have proof of purchase of a GentleBirth boxset to claim their prize. The winner is responsible for their own costs to and from the workshop and any additional costs incurred. There are no cash alternatives to the prize. The onus is on the winner to make themselves available for one of the scheduled workshop dates and subject to availability. The competition closes at 23:59 on Wednesday 8th July 2015.

AlphaBirth has teamed with innovative birth photographer Angela Martin of Redboots Photography to offer our couples a “sneak preview” of Angela’s exciting newborn photography package launching this Spring – a {Fresh} 48 Session. Couples who have attended or booked an AlphaBirth GentleBirth workshop can receive 60% off this unique photo session capturing those first precious 48 hours of their baby’s birth.

Keeping those moments of your labour and birth private to just you and your partner, a {Fresh} 48 Session is a different kind of birth photoshoot that still captures that wonder and joy of welcoming your new arrival! These sessions take place within 48 hours of your baby’s birth, so it’s perfect for those fresh newborn moments and the tiny details to be captured after you and baby have had the chance to rest a while. Your first hours together and special moments are captured artistically so you will always have them and feel that overwhelmingly fresh love.

What exactly is included in a {Fresh} 48 Session?

  • The {Fresh} 48 Session takes place when you call, during daylight hours, within the first 48 hours of birth. The sooner the better!
  • It can take place at the hospital or at home and will last approximately 60-90 minutes
  • Photos are taken in a documentary style similar to Angela’s birth photography – unposed, natural or available light, with a mix of black and white and soft colour images
  • Includes same day (or next day if your session is late in the day) blog post and a Facebook/Twitter sneak peek for you to share with friends and family.
  • Sessions are pre-booked by you so that Angela is available within the first two days after birth. She uses your EDD to allow a “window” where she is ready to capture your baby’s first precious hours.

This package is normally €480 however AlphaBirth couples who would like to try the package and would be willing to share their photos so others can see the results can purchase a {Fresh} 48 Session for €192 – a 60% discount. They can also purchase 15-20 hand-edited high resolution digital images with print release up to photo size 8″ x 10″ for unlimited printing and sharing with family and friends for an additional €100.
